Clip to ScrapBook
I totally understand what you are going through.I don't know how old you are, but i am an empty nester changing careers in midlife. I was hired by the Phila school district the day before school started. I walked in on the
first day of school with nothing but my wits and a piece of chalk. Since this is my first teaching job, I had no clue of even the most rudimentary duties, including taking attendance in a homeroom, where the copy machines are, etc. It's now 6 weeks in to school and I haven't even gotten my email address to access the system yet, although I ask every day. The worst part is that there are
so many clerical duties that the actual teaching time is compromised. These kids are far enough behind without my having to spend hours at home revising attendance slips. writing disclipine documentati0ns, etc. It's really crazy!
