Sub folder
By Kris

Clip to ScrapBook
Where I sub, every teacher has a sub folder. There should be a standard form or class roster the school uses for taking attendance. If not, jot the absent names down on a slip of paper with the date and teacher's name (make note of the names so you can tell the teacher in your note to her at the end of the day). Teachers usually have a set procedure and place for collecting homework and the students know it. Ask them. I ask the students questions all day long! They're very helpful! With the young ones I'll say, "how does your teacher get the whole class' attention?" They tell me (clap hands for ex), I try it and it's like they're on automatic, they respond and I have their attention.
