Clip to ScrapBook
I believe that math should be homework just about every night because we learn a new skill just about everyday, so the students need to practice it. Every once in awhile though, I will do something a little different, so they don't get math homework. After I explain the lesson, I hand out the white boards and markers. I pair them up sometimes (other times they work alone, mostly with pairs), and I give them a question from what would have been there assignment. They solve it (showing there work) on the white board. Every pair or person who gets it right, gets a point. At the end of the "assignment" the person or pair with the most points gets something small. Sometimes an extra credit point, sometimes candy, etc.
