Great Question
By Kerry

Clip to ScrapBook
I, too, find myself asking that same question more and more. What stresses me out the most is administration, constant changes in curriculum & state standards, and the mass amounts of paperwork. Sometimes I feel like a
secretary with all the paperwork.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have another profession. But the more I think about it and the more I think about the different jobs my friends have (most of us have different jobs) and the job my husband has, I realize that EVERY job has its stresses, annoyances, frustrations, etc. There are bad bosses everywhere, bad politics everywhere.

You can't escape it unless you work soley for yourself. Even then, I wonder.

So what keeps me here is the kids, how much I like teaching and seeing kids make improvements and feel good about themselves and learners and friends, the creativity, and the sense that there is still hope in the world with these kids.
