Clip to ScrapBook
I've been teaching since 1975 and I guess what keeps me in the profession are the kids. Most of the time they are a delight. But what will turn me away from teaching is the endless amounts of paperwork and every "new" program
that comes along that we have to learn about for a year, spendless endless amounts of time on it and then the next year it's put on the shelf for the next latest and greatest thing to come along. Endless, pointless meetings are another thing that try my patience. I think if they would just let us do our jobs, how much better things would be....

This year alone, we are doing CRISS,

curriculum meetings, a computer technology course every other week, thinking with numbers, working on our teaching portfolios for the state requirements, assessments, and other assorted tasks.
