Clip to ScrapBook
I read a very interesting book called Other People's Words in college. It is about the literacy gap in America. A teacher used a case study of a child who did not know how to read and also the mother of the child was illiterate. It was about the process of teaching a child to read that did not have the background knowledge to read. It was very intestesting. You could do your disertation on How having books, mags, etc at home and having a "reading" home influences the early years of literacy development.
