Here's what I do!!!

There are no right or wrong answers when children are predicting. As long as a child can back up their prediction with details from the story...I accept their prediction. Explain to them that predicting is not only guessing, but it is using your knowledge of what is happening in the story and predicting what will happen next. This is extremely difficult in the younger grades, I just keep stressing to explain why.
