At our school, they just split up our kids lunch schedule so we can't even meet then. No grade other than mine has a common prep period, but they keep giving us inservices telling us to be more collaborative. I think the main thing they have done to help promote team buildings is to encourage an us vs. them mentality between the teachers and administrators.
