Peanut-free classroom
By Kelly

Clip to ScrapBook
I make sure that my classroom is peanut free because I'm the one allergic to peanuts. That includes peanuts, peanut butter, and paenut oil, plus anything cooked in it. Someone said earlier that you would be surprised what has peanuts and is made on the same machine, I was surprised to find out also. It took me awhile to figure out why I was reacting to certain foods. Then I started to read labels. I had a parent send peanut butter cups as a treat for my class. I sent them back to her telling her that I don't allow things like that because of my own health. She was very nice and understanding about it. If you do have a child in your classroom allergic, you really have to be careful.
