SRA
By Nicole

Clip to ScrapBook
My school's ESE department have used it since before I came (about 3 years ago). It is really borring in my opinion but it does go in a very sequential method that seems to work well with our kids. I stopped using it last
year with one of my groups, but they were a higher, near-grade level group that I was trying to mainstream into 3rd grade. We try to get them out of it in 4th or 5th grade and into more grade level books at a slower pace as well as they can handle it. I used the SRA math in the middle school I worked at and absolutely hated it. The spelling isn't too bad, but like everything else, it
is all direct instruction. This year I have 2nd and 3rd graders that are still working on CVC words so I think I will continue with it. I would suggest using plenty of more interesting suplements with it if you do ude it. Good Luck!
