Round Robin Reading
By Kerry

Clip to ScrapBook
km, I agree with you that round robin reading is a definite no-go. But, kids definitely need to read aloud. Buddy reading, whisper reading, reading aloud to oneself, are great ways to accomplish the reading aloud thing. How do you structure your reading program? Do you have guided reading groups? Do you have reading instruction differently if not in groups? I'm curious as to how others structure their reading blocks. I have typically met in guided reading groups, but am thinking I want to try something a little less "formal" this year. Also, have you started guided reading groups yet? I can't believe this, I haven't yet ... this is the latest I have ever gone. We have definitely been reading every day but, I haven't done guided reading yet.
