working By Becki

I really resent people who assume that you don't have a work ethic just because you don't work all of the time. Maybe ya'll just haven't read my posts but I have worked. Like I said previously I have a temp nanny job, and| plan on getting a full-time after school nanny job. And I have baby-sat on weekends making $10 per hour. I know baby-sitting and nanny work may seem juvenile, but taking care of kids is hard work. And I know plenty of kids who are in college who have NEVER worked. Maybe its cause I grew up in a pretty upper class neighborhood, but most the kids I knew in high school never had a job and | | still don't in college. Maybe other people should realize that SCHOOL is a JOB!!! I'm sorry for those of you who had to work during high school or college, but you shouldn't critisize people who don't have. I find a lot of people who make judgements like that are jealous that they had to work, whereas other people didn't and could just concentrate on getting good grades. And trust me, if I had a full-time job like waitressing or something like that my grades would go down fast and I would never graduate and become a teacher. I believe that getting through college is a lot more important than having a job just because some people think once you become an adult you should be working and contributing something.
