college world
By Sue

Clip to ScrapBook
Hey,

I was miserable in college too. I was older and I went back through a traditional bachelor's program.

Hmmm. I am curious, are you going to a school with a quick, get your teaching certificate program? Perhaps they
are just wanting your money and not being very supportive. If that is they case, I would investigate going somewhere else.

I went through a psychology program and I feel that I have a huge leg up on understanding child development. My methods classes were outstanding. My teaching models and management are all based in psychological research.

When I went into teaching, I felt like

the rest of the world was 20 years behind me in teaching methodology and thinking.

Hang in there. Your college experience is not at all what your teaching life will be like. Academia is a different universe altogether.
