Scholastic News
By Susan

Clip to ScrapBook
I use Scholastic News weekly also. Another neat idea is to have kids preview the magazine on their own for about 10 minutes, then have them work in table groups to come up with five questions to ask the rest of the class. Have them number their questions best#1, next best #2 etc. If a question has already been asked it cannot be asked again. We keep points as tables, and highest scoring tables get to go out for recess first for that day. I don't do this each week but the kids love it when we do.
