we're okay, thanks!

Clip to ScrapBook
As for my family, we are doing okay. Our home was pretty damaged, but we were able to save most of its contents. Compared to many, we are quite blessed. Over two-thirds of our schools were damaged. One school will have to
be demolished, luckily not mine. Our school only suffered the loss of the cafeteria when its roof peeled back and some water damage in half of the classrooms (mine included.) The school has been sealed off, so I'm not exactly sure of the extent of the damage. We really don't know what is going to happen. There are rumors of double sessions, sharing schools, and having school throughout
the summer.

Being away from the classroom is the worst. Fortunately, when I left I brought all of my student information so that I've been able to check on my students. I quickly found out how fortunate I am and that the kids worry about their teachers as much as we worry about them!

I haven't heard of the collection fund you mentioned. I will ask around and see what I can find out for you!
