Somethings to think about- 1. Is she spending so much time on homework because she is taking her time to make sure gets it right? 2. Does she use her time wisely in class? 3. Is she struggling with the material? Please
| don't get me wrong here, I mean I believe when you say she spends a long time on homework, but often times I've seen that those are the three reasons students spend more time on homework. How does the teacher teach the material? Is taught so your daughter can understand it? Maybe (if you haven't already), you could sit down nightly with your daughter and help her (don't do | | it for her though!) with her homework. That way, you can see if she is trying to make it perfect, struggling, or losing focus. I wonder if the fact the she spends so much time on it means that she will lose her focus from time to time. If she is losing focus, maybe you could suggest that after each subject, she take a 5-10 minute break to get a healthy snack, drink something, spend sometime outside, help you prepare dinner, etc. Then do another subject.
