What kind of homework is she having that takes so long to complete? Is it the volume of the work or is she taking longer to get it perfect? As a teacher I would want to know if a student had to work so long on homework so that I could adjust the amount. To me that much homework is crazy! I am not even a huge fan of homework in the first place but I think in 3rd grade 30 minutes is enough. Maybe you could just have a general discussion with that teacher on homework and how long she thinks it should take a student to complete it. She may not realize she is assigning too much.
