Sympathy
By Amber

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach high school and a new principal was hired last year. We were settled in our routines, comfortable and making progress. MANY changes came into play last year. So many that I didn't know if I was coming or going.
Our workload literally makes me cry. We lost 5 teachers coming into this new year and one more 2 weeks ago. There are more changes that came into play this year. At this point we are wondering, do we do it like we did it last year? We are all crazy. The biggest change was the fact that last year we were all on block scheduling, this year we changed to a seven period day. It is very
frustrating trying to get back into the swing of things and change around awesome projects and lessons that fit perfect into block, now to make in 50 minutes. On top of all of this my room was changed 4 days before school started and now even sharing with another teacher. I TOTALLY know how you feel. Just give it a while, I am still not settled in. Plus you will be with your child. I wish you lots of luck!!!!
