I'm living your fear

I am so frustrated! After many, many years in corporate america, I left to get my MAT and teach elementary in suburban Chicago. During my last semester, student teaching, my sponsor school told me that, sorry, the district was in such poor shape financially, they could no longer afford master's degrees or experience. They hired 22 year old undergraduates with zero life experience.I was so sure my life experience was going to be such a plus! The annoying thing is that I am not even allowed the opportunity to say "pay me the same as the other beginner."
