Scavenger Hunt
By Jade

Clip to ScrapBook
I got this idea on this board last year and I've used it twice successfully. I have a list of things to look for and questions to anwser about the room, such as where is the lunch menu and what color is the math book? Anyone who stops in on the open house night may take and complete a sheet. I post the answers and have a bowl of some candy treats as prizes for successful hunts. It is a good way to get the kids to actually show their parents around.

I also ask for volunteers on that night for projects and field trips, etc. There is a sign-up sheet.

I put out a guest book for the parents/family members to sign. We put it out during other events during the year for visitors to sign and the kids enjoy seeing their family members' names in the book.
