I teach first. You could modify the ideas...We did Fall Leaves poetry (After reading I am a Leaf) with a frame that said
Fall leaves are ______________
Fall leaves are yellow like the _______________
Fall leaves are brown like _____________________
Fall leaves are red like _______________________
Fall leaves are orange like _________________
Fall leaves make me feel_______________________
Then the children used watercolors in fall colors to make large leaves, we mounted the poems on them.We also made scarecrows, I used scrap book paper for the clothing, since they have a lot that | |
are meant to look like cloth. We also added raffia for straw. We filled in the frame below. (This followed a scarecrow book I read called The Scarecrow's Hat..which is very cute!)My scarecrow is ______________________
