talking

Clip to ScrapBook
I have recently read about teachers who use levels for noise control. They teach and model and practice these levels with the students. For example, noise level 0 would be no talking, level 1 would be whisper, level 2 would be normal conversation (maybe 6 inch voices), level 3 would be regular voice, and level 4 outside voice. Some even teach a level 5 - emergency voice. I actually just mentioned level 0 today while they were cleaning up, just to see what they would do, and they really responded to it so I think I will teach the rest of the levels. I know that this would work at Kindergarten but you would have to do lots of practicing.

I am sure there are others with different ideas because this has been a topic many times here and on other boards.
