Cathy, I feel just where you are coming from. I have been teaching a fourth grade class like yours for the past three years. These students are way below grade level and the discipline problems are there too. Jane said it best. I was going to give the same advice until I read hers. She is so on target! You must a have clear and consistant disipline plan (with approprate consequences).you can do it!
