Your professor said that most first graders could do Powerpoint?!!!!! Wow! Either he/she doesn't know Powerpoint, or he doesn't know first graders! I am absolutely floored by that! He should check the national proposed tech standards for first graders. They involve things like learning how to use a mouse and learning how to turn the computer on/off. If your prof wants you to put PowerPoint in that lesson plan, I guess you should put it in so you can meet the assignment requirements, knowing full well that no first grader would be able to actually do it.
