Sparkle
By Shirley

Clip to ScrapBook
I have played "Sparkle" with my first graders, but I played it with a twist: the child who misses a letter of a word must sit down, the child who is "Sparkled" must sit down, and they stay down until the next one is sparkled. Then those who had to sit can stand back up. So we don't quickly lose interest because they know they will get back in the game soon. There is really no winner. We just play until we have practiced all the words or run out of time. Its also a good "activity" for when they are antsy.
