Sorts ideas
By Kennedy

Clip to ScrapBook
How about having your students find pictures for sorts for you? Use old magazines and kids can cut out images of objects.animals, etc. This can be an indoor recess activity. Then you'll have lots of pictures for sorting. You can even have them laminated if you want.

Also, I have an excellent program called MatchWord. It's in CD format and offers the possibility to make many printable activities - including picture and/or word cards. This is where I got many of my sorting cards - however the word lists aren't necessarily by concept. You can select words/images individually or by a particular quality, such as onset, vowel sound, or chunk.

Hope this helps.
