Meet the Parent Night
By Debby

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Jess,
At our school the children bring their parents to school and show them around ( where their desks are, any text books they will use, places to put things in the room etc.) Have any pictures you have taken
of their children on display as well as Art work. You could also have a few of their notebooks out but you don't want to get into a parent teacher interview either. I have on my board, the curriculum outcomes for my grade level as well as a copy of the report card as the grading system changes at this level for us.
My handout is a copy of my expectations, a note on how to help their
child with reading, how to encourage writing and the basic Math concepts we will cover. Remember, parents might not read it so keep it simple. Hope you have a fun night!
