Depending on the level of difficulty, try to find words in children's books, magazines, or any other reading that might interest children.

Children might understand things better in context, so if you can find a page in a children's book that has the vocabulary word(s) you're looking for, it may be easy for them to learn this way. It is better than just trying to have them memorize the definition for a quiz.
