I can only imagine what you are the rest of the teachers are going through. My mother's side of the family lives in Jamaica and they were hit pretty severely. How are your students reacting to this? Has your district issued some type of emeregency drill procedures? I taught in the north east [Baltimore - 30 minutes from D.C.] -- and I remember what it was like the day of 9/11. My students were crying -- and too afraid to walk outside of the classroom/school. Have any of your fellow teachers,students, friends or family lost any loved ones? My heart is with you.
