teaching
By Bonnie

Clip to ScrapBook
For most people, teaching takes more than the hours in your contract. There are some who walk in the with kids, leave with the kids, and never take things home. There are others who spend much of their own time on school
projects. I have found that over time I need to do less at home than before. I have many things to reuse for bulletin boards (I rotate things but my old stuff is new to another class.). I can do my plans in less time, even with new text material because I have more experience.

For a good teacher, teaching will always be something that is on their minds and in their hearts outside

of school hours. I still think about my kids as I am driving and doing the dishes. But the amount of time you spend working will decrease. And you get better able to cope with the parents and extraneous stuff after awhile.

Good luck.
