Co-op teacher
By Amy

Clip to ScrapBook
I am in your exact situation, and it is really making me dread going to school every morning. I'm at that ackward stage now where I am starting to take over my teachers' lessons, and they don't really work well with my personality
(he lectures a lot)...but at the same time, I don't know what is supposed to work for me, b/c like you i never saw him teach a real lesson- the kids are always doing bookwork!! I'm really not enjoying student teaching, and I don't know what to do b/c he's not a sit down and talk about things kind of guy- ithink he just thinks i'm gonna take off and start being this great teacher
on my own...but i need much more structure than that!!! I'm also concerned b/c I can't really plan for a whole unit, b/c i'm not really sure what we're covering!! AHH!

so a note for cooperating teachers- give your student teacher oppurtunities to observe you teach, and a guideline of what you will be covering and roughly when you'll be covering it-- so student teachers can start thinking up their own plans WITH GUIDANCE!
