IEP meetings

Develop a relationship with your parents. Don't use Educatrional jargon that they will not understand. I just saw a show related to SpEd and a parent mentioned to look at them and not just read off the paper. In fact, they said just one copy at the meeting is fine. Another idea is to send a draft copy home ahead of time for the parents to preview. They see you as the proferssional. Let them know that you are new at this! They won't mind!
