I loved them all
By Jenny

Clip to ScrapBook
I am a second grade teacher, (1st year) and I love it. I student taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades last year in my student teaching. I agree with everything said by previous posters about 2nd being the easiest to teach--they have basic reading skills under their belt, and they just need LOTS of help honing those skills, and it's so neat to see the huge jump in reading, writing, and math skills that occur in 2nd grade. Third grade was like a whirlwind. Everything happens so fast. I'm in Oregon, so 3rd grade is the first grade tested for state benchmarks, and so much is riding on those tests. 4th is fun until May--when they start getting what i call the "5th grade attitude" but i also student taught in a class which was primarily boys.
