Independence
By Brooke

Clip to ScrapBook
I am also a third grade teacher and have seen this type of thing happen with my students before as well. I highly recommend first visiting your guidance counselor and seeing what he/she recommends be done. Perhaps this child could become part of a guidance group? The other thing that I would do is have this child do some independent activities in your room so that he/she fosters a liking for working by himself or solely with peers. If you receive homework from the child that was done by the parent again, schedule a parent teacher conference with administration present. It will help.
