kindergarten position

I am a kindergarten teacher in a Title I school in Florida. During my interview, my principal was impressed with my knowledge of Fountas and Pinnell methods of Guided Reading. If you have some time, it may be worth your time to review their model. Our school is mandated to help students in a 90 minute literacy "block" on a daily basis which consists of 30 mins. of whole group instruction (story time, shared reading) and 1 hour of centers/guided reading. I think you will find that the focus of any grade position in a Title I school will be on LITERACY! Best wishes and good luck on your interview!
