This is my 4th year and although it does get better, it is always a challenge. We start the year with the GATES, WRAT and SORT assessments. I only use Brigance on my K students. I teach K-3 this year which is too broad a range. I am teaching printing and cursive which tends to confuse the little ones. Oh well! Good luck. Remember the kids really need you! You may be the only person who cares about their education. You may be the one to change their lives. Go for it!
