communities

usually I have my students make a model of one of the three different types of communities -- urban, suburbs, rural. They do this individually or in partners. They then have to explain to the class about their community and how it is differennt from the others. In addition as a class we make a model of our town.We work together and using milk cartons and other recyclable items we construct our small town. These are just some ideas that my students have enjoyed in the past.
