Assemblies?
By Barb

Clip to ScrapBook
If you have an all school assembly, you could have each class present a song or cheer and preform for the entire school. We did this last year, and the kids loved it! One fifth grade class changed the words to Queen's "We Will Rock You" to "We will Teach You" and sang about all they'd learned so far. My class changed the words to "I Love The Mountains" to "I Love the Fourth Grade" (boom-de-atta) and made up dance movements. Even the COOL eighth graders sang and danced. The most unlikely students were the most enthusiastic about it--it succeeded more than the planning committee had ever dreamed. Our school was facing some severe morale problems, and this was such a lift to everyone's spirits!
