teacher's not miracle workers!
By gc

Clip to ScrapBook
I tell my parents from day one. "we are a team". I expect the student to be responsible for his behavior and work, Yes in FIRST GRADE> but I even expect it in K4!! (shocking isn't it!!) I agree with those who say we have
over done the 'positive comments for breathing stuff' school should prepare them for life. I know they need time to grow etc. But asking them to do reasonable things, like copying a few lines etc is not unreasonable, sure put him closer, or make sure there are not physical problems. But by all means get the parents involved and tell them what is expected of their child, and tell them they
are part of this TEAM effort. I firmly believe that the education of a child is the PARENTS RESPONSIBILITY, if they choose to entrust some of that to us , great, but we are not miracle workers.
