Do It!
By Jade

Clip to ScrapBook
I got my Master's Degree from Marygrove College three years ago and it was the best decision I could have made. The nearest college that offers a master's program is 100 miles from me. I was able to complete my degree without
having to travel.

We were required to enroll in a group of at least three and were expected to meet a minimal number of hours in discussion of study questions. We audio taped our discussions and sent them on to an assigned mentor to whom we also mailed our written assignments. The teachers that were a part of my study group all teach in my building and so we gathered twice a

week right in school.

The classes were interesting and a lot more work than I had first envisioned, but it was all truly worth it. The classes were also very valuable and I use many of the things I learned to this day. They are based upon Lee Canter Associates and through the videos we were instructed by top experts in the field from all over the country. I honestly feel that I am a better teacher for having completed this 5 semester program.

My Michigan school accepted the degree without question and I got my pay raise accordingly. I was a little skeptical before I enrolled, too, but I have absolutely no regrets and highly recommend the program.
