re:electronic portfolio

Clip to ScrapBook
I am currently a teaching student in FL and am taking a class called "teaching with technology" (hence why I'm on this site)and one of the texts is Microsoft office for Teachers by Patricia J. Fewell/William J. Gibbs. I
found it on Amazon.com for $30 and it includes some software. I think it would really help you out because it takes you from a beginners stand point and works its way up to more difficult tasks (powerpoint, excell, acess, and outlook). In the class we also had to build a website the first week- YIKES! I'd never done anything like that before, but my teacher gave us a link to yahoo.com
to set up a "geocities" account and you can build a free website for your class showing current lessons or activities, ect. That would look great in a high-tech portfolio. You can download a free version of netscape composer by downloading netscape communicator at netscape.com and this program makes building website at easy as typing a word document. I'd never even installed software on a computer before but I had built a website (to my great suprise) in about an hour. If you have trouble finding any of these things feel free to email me and I'll send you links...
good luck- but if I can do it, anyone can
