elections By mom2boys

I always start the year off with a citizenship unit. We learn about our country and discuss symbols like the flag. We will be using Weekly Reader materials to learn about the candidates and hold a mock election. I'm holding off until October to do that part so that it will be closer to the real deal.
One mother told that her daughter had come home full of information about presidents and elections. After listening to her go on and on, the mother asked her who was presidents right now. She said, "Jimmy Buffet!" We still don't know where THAT came from.
