Kathy, I know you'll probably be done with cells and genetics by now, but you can print these out and use them next year. Our 3rd grade curriculum has us teaching cells and genetics, so last year another teacher and I scoured
the internet for info. We're actually taking a trip to a museum with a Genetic Revolution Exhibit this year. Go to www.fernbank.edu and click on: Exhibitions-ampgt;Special Exhibitions-ampgt;The Genomic Revolution-ampgt;Educational Resources. There you will find a VERY COOL lab for extracting DNA from wheat germ. (I did it this summer and it was so much fun!) There are also a bunch
of awesome sites listed! I recommend the http://ology.amnh.org/genetics/index.html interactive site. However, the exhibit closes on 1/5/05, so you may want to download and print. Enjoy!
