Clip to ScrapBook
Here's my choices for this week:

Use letter tiles to find as many words as you can.
Write a thank you letter to the people that did our first field trip.
Match the prefix with the base word. Find as many as you can.
Draw
the characters in our recent book with a 3 sentence description of their special qualities.
Do 2 pages in your reading packet (these ARE worksheets!)
Research an animal in the Wildlife Files. Draw a sketch of it, and write a 5 sentence paragraph with interesting facts about it.
Read your SSR book and record the starting and ending pages.
Read the "Tommy Book" (I
got these on learningpages.com) and answer the following questions.

My papers are at school and that's all I can think of now. I usually give 5 or 6 choices and 3 are required each week. It does take time to prepare these independent choices each week, but the students are really enjoying them. I have a rubric that I use to grade them each week.
Hope this helps.
