voice
By Chris

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Laura,
6 traits are the way to go! I worked really hard to get into specific language strategies that writers can use to get voice into their writing. Here's what I came up with:
1.put in a side comment ("He raced down the hill toward the fire. I couldn't be that brave.")
2.use common language or slang ("She was all that.")
3.use widely known sayings ("He had kicked the bucket for sure.")
4.put emotion into it (humor)
The more specific I can be, the easier it is for the students to grasp.
Good Luck!
Chris
