Well, lucky for us our job is not to educate the parents and this can make our jobs as teachers much more difficult. However, you decide what goes in your classroom. there are many ways to get them to do things your way, i'm sure you know, the secret is to be very consistent, you will see the positive results without the extreme punishments. I have been there many times and since i have changed schools i am there again. Be strong and good luck.
