"Yelling and screaming across the room!"
By Diana Stiver

Clip to ScrapBook
I observed a regular classroom teacher use this method for controlling the noise level during group work periods: Before they began, she told the students that she was going to put on the music - a light classical selection she had in the CD player. She told the class that they should be able to hear the music while they were working together. It seemed to work quite well.
