You didn't say what type of self-contained class or grade level. Don't be surprised if an emergency comes up or you see staff making frequent behavioral interventions. Expect a very functional approach to education. There may be a few group activities but a lot of 1:1 or 1:2 instruction. Despite the severity of thier disabilities, these kids are very observant. They will know that you are there and may approach you!
