9 trick 9+6=15 five is one less than six, 9+4=13 three is one less than four... See the pattern. 5+5=10 five fingers plus five fingers = ten fingers. Show one dozen eggs, --one dozen equals 12, six eggs in each row.| 6+6=12 How many eyes do you have. One plus one equals 2 eyes... 2+2=4 a dog, cat, cow or whatever. has 2 front legs and 2 back legs. 3+3= 6 pack of soda pop.... Read Charlotte's Web a wonderful book, lots of activities to go along with it.(do a google search) Students will fall in love with Charlotte the spider. A spider has 4 legs on each side. 4+4=8. A semi has 9 wheels on each | | side 9+9=18 Mad minutes. How many facts can they answer in a minute. Work sheet with ten facts on in a row. 8 or so rows on a sheet. Set the timer. One correct answers count. If they improve their score by five they get a piece of candy. We use Mad Minutes for add, subtraction, multiplication and division. At the end of school they get a certificate telling how many facts they can do in a minute. Petunia
