I use a project checklist
By JenO

Clip to ScrapBook
I always use a checklist or rubric for at-home projects (which I do monthly). One of the components of the checklist is "Evidence of student work". This element will give credit to those students who do their own projects instead of parents. A beautifully parent-made project may loose up to 10 points if I do not see student imput. My students are pretty honest and I can usually tell what they contributed by the presentation of the project as well.
